- Q: How to Remove the Accelerator Cable?A: To remove the accelerator cable, remove the air intake duct/resonator from the Throttle Body, rotate the throttle lever, and detach the cable end. Press the tab and release the retainer from the bracket. Underneath the dash, remove the retainer clip and detach the cable from the accelerator pedal. Detach the cable from the routing clips and remove it from the engine compartment. Installation is the reverse of removal.
