- A:On V6 models, do not separate the left and right fuel rails, as both sides are serviced together. Remove the injectors from the fuel rail, discard the O-rings, and replace them with new ones coated in clean engine oil. Clean the injector bores on the intake manifold and insert the injectors into their corresponding bores in the fuel rail. Securely tighten the fuel rail mounting nuts/bolts, connect the fuel line(s), and ensure they are properly seated.
