Q:
How can you service the fuel pressure regulator for the 1994 Jeep Cherokee? Posted by Customer
A:
Depending on the model year:On 1995 and earlier models, relieve fuel pressure, disconnect the negative battery terminal, and remove the regulator retaining screws or clip. Pull the regulator off the fuel rail, replace the O-ring, and install it with a new one before reinstallation. On 1996 and later models, the regulator is integrated with the fuel pump module and cannot be serviced separately. For 1997 and later models, relieve fuel pressure, remove the fuel tank, disconnect the fuel line, pry the retainer clamp loose, carefully remove the filter/regulator, replace the gasket, ensure the new filter/regulator has both O-rings in place and apply clean engine oil to them before installation. Reattach the retainer clamp and complete the rest of the installation in reverse.

Q:
How to replace Fuel Injector,Fuel Pressure Regulator,Throttle Body and Throttle Position Sensor on Jeep Wrangler? Posted by Customer
A:
To fuel the body, start by detaching the cable from the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the throttle body and the three Torx head screws that attach the fuel body to it. Discard the original gasket and install a new one. For the fuel injector, remove the throttle body upper and lower bonnets. Detach the injector connector by compressing the lock tabs and lifting up. Remove the retainer and gently pry the center collar of the injector to remove it. Discard the centering ring and upper and lower O-rings. Lubricate and install the replacement O-rings and centering ring. Align the injector with the housing and install it, followed by the retainer. Attach the injector connector and reinstall the bonnets. To replace the fuel pressure regulator, remove the throttle body and the pressure regulator mounting screws. Remove the housing, spring, spring seats, diaphragm, and pivot. Clean the housing and reinstall the components, ensuring the diaphragm vent hole aligns with the throttle body and housing vent holes. After replacing the regulator and installing the throttle body, check for leaks and adjust the fuel pressure. For the throttle position sensor (TPS), remove the air inlet bonnets and the throttle body. Unplug the TPS connector and remove the mounting screws. Take out the TPS from the throttle shaft lever and reinstall it, ensuring the TPS arm is underneath the lever. Have the TPS adjusted by a dealer service department. To replace the idle speed actuator (ISA) motor, disconnect the ISA motor harness connector and detach the throttle return spring. Remove the mounting nuts and the ISA motor from the bracket. Reinstall the motor and have it adjusted by a qualified repair facility.
