To remove the radiator, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Drain the cooling system and remove the cooling fan(s). Raise the vehicle and disconnect the transaxle oil cooler lines on automatic transaxle models. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses, and remove the radiator mounting brackets. Remove the air conditioning condenser mounting screws and lean the condenser forward. Carefully lift out the radiator as a single assembly, being careful not to spill coolant or scratch the paint. Clean the radiator with compressed air and a soft brush, inspecting for leaks and damage. To install the radiator, inspect the rubber seals or insulators for cracks and dirt. Ensure the radiator is correctly seated on the insulators before fastening the top brackets. Fill the cooling system with the correct mixture of antifreeze and water, start the engine and check for leaks. Finally, check and add fluid as needed for automatic transaxle equipped vehicles.
