- A:Start by removing it and reinstalling the clevis bracket on the shock absorber. Clamp the shock absorber in a vertical position in a vise. Next, compress the coil spring using a coil spring compressor and remove the shock absorber damper rod nut. Take off the damper rod washer, upper control arm mounting bracket, and isolator bushings from the damper rod. Remove the shock absorber upper isolator bushing, lower isolator bushing, and sleeve from the upper control arm mounting bracket. Then, remove the upper spring isolator from the mounting bracket and the lower isolator bushing from the damper rod sleeve. Remove the washer and dust shield from the shock absorber assembly, followed by the compressed coil spring. Take off the jounce bumper and sleeve from the shock absorber assembly, as well as the coil spring isolator from the lower spring seat on the shock absorber.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist

- A:Connect the assembly to the upper control arm mount and install it into the shock tower. Align the locating pins and mounting holes and tighten the four bolts. Install the clevis on the shock absorber and tap it until properly aligned and fully seated against the locating tab. Install the bolt and tighten it. Install the clevis-to-lower control arm bolt without tightening it. Install the upper ball joint into the steering knuckle, tighten the castle nut, and install a new cotter pin. Install the speed control routing cable on the steering knuckle. Use a floor jack to raise the lower control arm to simulate normal ride height and tighten the shock absorber clevis-to-lower control arm bolt. - A:Mount the shock assembly in a vise and mark it as right or left. Use a spring compressor to relieve pressure from the upper mount, then unscrew the damper rod nut and remove the washer. Remove the isolator bushing, shock absorber mount, spring isolator, rod washer, and dust boot. Lift the coil spring off the shock absorber and remove the jounce bumper, collar, and coil spring isolator. Reassemble the shock absorber in the reverse order of removal, making sure to install the sleeve with the undercut side facing downward and the top washer with the "TOP" stamp facing upward.
