For a 2.4L four-cylinder engine (2015 and later), remove the engine top cover, raise and support the front of the vehicle, remove the battery and battery tray, and disconnect various components before removing the thermostat housing. Once the old thermostat is removed, clean the mating surfaces, install a new gasket or O-ring, and reassemble the components in reverse order. Finally, reconnect the battery, refill the cooling system, and check for leaks and proper thermostat operation.
