- Q: How to Disconnect and Install the Throttle Cable?A: Disconnect throttle cable from pedal shaft. Remove retainer clip from cable housing. Pull cable housing from firewall grommet. Disconnect throttle and cruise control cables from throttle body. Install cable housing into engine bracket and attach clevis to throttle body. Insert cable through firewall grommet and connect to throttle pedal.
