You should be able to slide the crankshaft sprocket off by hand; if it is stuck, use two screwdrivers to carefully pry it off. In cases of severe corrosion, if the sprocket won't come loose, drill and tap two holes into its face and use a bolt-type puller to remove it, ensuring not to reuse a drilled sprocket. Turn the puller bolt until the sprocket comes off, then remove the timing belt plate.
