How to remove and install a crankshaft seal in a 3.8L V6 engine on 2015 Jeep Wrangler?

Loosen the fasteners that bolt on the crankshaft pulley, and study the arrangement of the seal, to put the newly purchased one in the similar position with regard to depth and position. Slowly lift the oil seal from the crankshaft usage of seal puller or large screw driver without marred the crankshaft or twist the cover. Because of this, it is advisable to place a piece of tape around the end of the screwdriver. Use clean engine oil or multi-purpose grease on outer rim of new seal and insert it in the cover with lip turned inside. Tighten the seal with seal driver or with large deep socket and hammer and should go into the bores squarely and stop when the front face is at correct depth. Last but not the least install the crankshaft pulley back to its position on the engine.
