AWD configurations of 2014 and former models contain a saddle fuel tank that uses main and auxiliary fuel pumps along with their dedicated sending units. First step should be to release pressure from the fuel system. Move on to disconnect the negative battery cable from its mounting location on the remote ground terminal or battery. First remove the rear seat cushion followed by the removal of fuel pump module cover while extra attention needs to be focused on main and auxiliary fuel pump module covers during removal on AWD models.
