The Dodge Dakota Air Bag, a cushion which inflates rapidly, lowers the impact and risk of injury in case of a collision. Generally located in the steering wheel and the dash of the truck, the Dodge system ties crash sensors to a pyrotechnic inflator that fills a fabric bag in milliseconds and then vents, keeping heads and chests away from hard panels.
