How do you replace sealed beam-type and bulb-type headlights on Dodge Grand Caravan?

When using sealed beam-type headlights turn the parking lights on and manipulate the dimmer switch, which will release the headlight doors that are retractable. Next, unscrew the headlight, and separate the bezel, then take out the retainer screws with out affecting the adjustment screws. Remove them for service, this will involve pulling headlight out, removing headlight electrical connector, finally removing headlight assembly, and replacing it by reversing the steps above. For the bulb-type headlights, first remove the negative terminal off the battery then open the bonnet. At the rear of the headlight assembly you can unplug the electrical connector loose the bulb retaining ring, and then pull the holder assembly to expose the bulb. Press a button located at the base of the retainer with a screwdriver to release the bulb holder and pull it out; in addition to this, it will be necessary to unplug the connector and unscrew the plastic collar. With the bulb removed, pull it from the holder grasping the base of the bulb, replace the holder with a new or properly functioning bulb and then put the holder back into the headlight assembly.
