Take off the center pad assembly and horn connectors, then disconnect the negative battery cable. When removing, note the steering shaft and hub by marking the steering wheel retaining nut for easy reinstallation. For automatic models, remove the damper. Avoid hammering on the shaft of the wheel but use a puller instead when it is necessary to remove it. To reinstall, align marks with those on the
Wheel Hub and shaft then slide the wheel onto the shaft. Thereafter, tighten the hub nut and damper before reconnecting the horn wires and center pad assembly.
