How to remove and install the door handle, door latch assembly, and door lock cylinder on a Jeep Wrangler?

Remove the door trim panel and watershield. For hardtop models, take out the door window glass. On 2007 and later models with full doors, remove the glass and separate the stamped-metal door carrier by disconnecting the wiring harness and removing one screw, which is accessible after removing a rubber plug on the door, along with the perimeter mounting screws to access the latch. To remove the door latch, take out the three retaining screws from the end of the door, disconnect the links or cables, and the electrical connector if equipped, then remove the latch, noting that later models have a latch retained by upper and lower tabs that need to be depressed. For installation, follow the reverse order of removal and ensure the door latch retaining screws are tightened securely. To address the lock cylinder, disconnect the link where necessary, then use pliers to slide the retaining clip off and remove the lock cylinder from the door, pushing the retaining clip off the lock cylinder housing to release it. For installation, follow the reverse order of removal. For the handle, remove the retaining nut(s), pull the handle out, detach the control rod where necessary, and take the handle off the door, ensuring to tighten the retaining nut(s) securely during installation.
