How to disconnect and remove the windshield wiper motor on Jeep Wrangler?

Remove the cable connecting it to the negative terminal of the battery. For models from 1987 to 1995, indicate the arm-to-spindle position before unbending the windshield wiper arms Some of the wiper arms would require removal by using a punch or an ice pick, to remove the clip, and pulling the arm assembly off the spindle. Take out the hold-down bolts at the corners and fold forward the windshield, then take out the screws or the bolts holding the wiper motor. Remove the wiper linkage drive arm using a screwdriver by pulling it off. Tightly applying the motor lock, remove the motor through an access hole and unbolt the drive arm by unscrewing the pivot nut; however, the arm should remain pivoted. If your model has intermittent wipers then there are two screws needed to be unscrewed to separate the wiper module from the instrument panel. Disconnect electrical connector at the base of motor and on the passenger side remove wiper motor assembly from the car. For installation the wiring harness has to be slid through the access hole and connected followed by the placing of intermittent wiper module. Rotate the wiper motor to move the wiper blade to the Park position then turn off the motor, before using a large plier to fix the wiper linkage drive arm to the wiper motor. Lift the motor and arm assembly into the correct height, the screws or bolts are tightened and use two pairs of pliers to lock the drive arm onto the pivot shaft. The rest of the steps are the mirror image reverse order of removal of fig. For the model since 1997: first, unscrew the cowl plenum cover/grille panel center to the cowl plenum; second, open the hood and support it, third, for the model until 2002, pull the end of cowl-to-hood seal upward and away from the metal flange to expose the screws on the outer ends of the cowl plenum cover/grille panel. Undo the screws at outer ends and come out the cowl plenum cover/grille panel without damaging the paint around the pivot holes. Unplug the wiper motor electrical connector that is in the cowl plenum and how the wiper module mounting bracket screws in 2007 and later models of this vehicle, wiper module can be easily extracted from the cowl plenum with pulling up on the shell and it came off with the rubber isolator. Take the retainer that holds the wiper motor electrical harness to the wiper module bracket and flipping over the wiper module and remove the nut around the wiper linkage crank arm to the wiper motor output shaft. Take out three screws that connect the wiper motor to wiper module mounting bracket, to install reverse the process is followed. For the rear motor, from the liftgate glass outside: Liftgate glass apart. Take out the rear wiper motor output shaft nut and bezel. Rem out the rubber gasket. From inside, take off three screws which fix the rear wiper motor cover to the motor, and unbend the electrical connection. Liftgate right hinge nut and unfasten the liftgate glass wiper motor from the glass without removing the hinge nut there by getting the output shaft away from the hole. Pull the motor to the right until the slotted hole in the motor mounting bracket aligns with the grommet below the right liftgate glass hinge nut, then remove the rear wiper motor, with installation in sequence as follows.
