    Q:
How to remove and reinstall Rocker Arm on Chrysler PT Cruiser? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the valve cover you must first take out both of the camshafts from the engine. Once the camshafts are pulled out, take off the rocker arms together with the valve lash adjusters but be certain to sort them out for reassembly. This means that each rocker arm has to be put back in its respective position and therefore it helps by either tagging the rocker arms or using an egg carton to store them in during the time of use. The lash adjusters are deployable in the head as long as replacement is not needed. Third, look at the tip of the rocker arm, roller, and pocket for the lash adjuster and check for signs of wear such as score marks or pitting and if they are bad replace them. Also, inspect each lash adjuster for signs of wear, particularly the ball tip that comes into contact with the rocker arm because they may gradually get clogged; consult your mechanic if there's any doubt about the status of the lash adjuster or if the engine emanates valve tapping sounds. When reinstalling, the process should be done in the reverse order of the removal process; the rocker arms must be placed in its original post.

    Q:
How is the camshaft supported within the Rocker Arm assembly on a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan? Posted by Customer
    A:
The camshaft is supported by five bearing caps, each secured by two fasteners, numbered from 1 to 5 starting at the drivebelt end of the engine. If the caps are not numbered, mark them to ensure correct reinstallation.
