    Q:
How to remove and install a front sway bar kit and sway bar bushing on Chrysler 200? Posted by Customer
    A:
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery or the remote battery terminal. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels, raise the front of the vehicle, and securely support it on jackstands. Apply the parking brake and block the rear wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling off the stands. Remove the front wheels. Remove the nuts on the sway bar links to detach the links from the sway bar. Use a wrench to hold the stud on the link in place while removing the nut to prevent rotation. If replacement is necessary, the link can be completely detached from the sway bar and the strut assembly. Remove the under-vehicle splash shield. Remove the rear engine mount. Remove the front engine mount through-bolt. Remove the two screws attaching the power steering hose clamps to the rear of the crossmember. Remove the heat shield. Remove the two bolts that secure the steering gear to the crossmember. Support the steering gear with a rope, bungee cord, or wire to hold it in place as the crossmember is lowered. Remove the subframe. Remove the bolts on the sway bar brackets and remove the brackets and bushings. Remove the sway bar. Install the sway bar, bushings, and brackets onto the crossmember, but do not tighten them yet. Center the sway bar on the crossmember. Tighten the bracket bolts. Align the crossmember with the marks you made earlier and install the mounting bolts and screws. If removed, install the engine mount and power steering line brackets/fasteners. Install the sway bar links and tighten the nuts. Install the wheels and lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel lug nuts.

    Q:
How to remove and install a front Sway Bar Kit and Sway Bar Bushing on a Dodge Avenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before you work on the vehicle, remove the negative cable from either the main battery or from the remote battery terminal. First, unwind the lug nuts on the front wheels, lift up the front of your car, and place jackstands under it to keep it stable. Before you start, put on the parking brake, then block both rear wheels to make sure the car stays put on top of the jackstands. Remove the front wheels. As long as you're just replacing the stabilizer bar links, you can keep the sub-frame in place. Hold tight a wrench to the link stud while you carefully turn the stabilizer bar link nut, allowing the link to pull away from the bar. When replacement is needed, we can easily separate the stabilizer bar link from both the Sway Bar Kit and the strut assembly. Remove the under-vehicle splash shield. Remove the rear engine mount. Remove the front engine mount through-bolt. Unscrew and take off the two screws holding the power steering hose clamps against the crossmember's back end. Remove the heat shield. Secure the steering gear with a piece of cord while you remove the two steering gear bolts attached to the crossmember. Take off the subframe, detach Sway Bar Kit brackets' bolts, remove brackets and mountings with Sway Bar Bushing. Remove the Sway Bar Kit. Slide the Sway Bar Kit, connecting pieces, and mounting brackets onto the crossmember but don't fasten them. Put the Sway Bar Kit in the center of the crossmember and bolt on the brackets. Attach the crossmember to its marks, then put in its mounting bolts and bolts. Reinstall both the engine mount and related power steering parts when finished. Put the stabilizer links in place and make sure the nuts are tightly fastened. Fit the wheels on, put the nuts on the lug bolts, get the car down, and tighten all the lug bolt nuts.
