    Installation and Repair Tips
    Q:
How to replace the cabin air filter on Chrysler 200? Posted by Customer
    A:
Disconnect the cable from the remote ground terminal or battery. For 2014 and earlier models. Disengage the clips on each side of the glove box. Pull the sides inwards until the stops are clear and lower the glove box. Disengage the two clips at the ends of the cover and remove the cover. Remove the filter from the housing. Install the filter, making sure the arrow on the filter is pointing towards the floor. Note: The cabin air filter is labeled with an arrow and the word "Airflow" on it. The filter should be installed with the arrow pointing towards the floor. Installation is the reverse of removal. For 2014 and earlier models. Note: On 2015 and later models, the cabin air filter is mounted vertically instead of horizontally. Note the direction in which the old filter was installed. Pry out the clips, disconnect the light electrical connector, and remove the panel from beneath the glove box. Remove the center console side panel from the passenger footwell. Taking care not to damage the tabs, remove the upper and lower filter door retaining tabs and pull the door straight off the HVAC unit. Note: If the tab(s) were damaged during removal, there are pre-made holes in the filter door that will accept a 16mm long, M4 self-tapping screw as an alternative means to secure it. Noting the direction of airflow, remove the cabin filter element. Install the cabin air filter into the housing in the proper direction. The remainder of the installation is the reverse of removal. For 2015 and later models.
