    To raise the engine, you should raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, then remove the front wheels and tires. Position two jacks-one under the crankshaft pulley and the other under the transmission bellhousing-placing a block of wood between the jack head and the crankshaft pulley or bellhousing, and carefully raise the engine/transmission just enough to relieve the weight from the mounts.
