On removing the coil spring on the subframe it must be done with one side at a time thus one needs a good floor jack, jack stands and some wood blocks. First disengage the load leveling type shock absorber on the side that is being tackled; this must be done according to the procedure applicable to both regular and the load leveling shocks. Carry on lowering the subframe until the coil spring is fully compressed and then to further remove the coil spring, upper and lower insulators. Check the insulators if there are some signs of wear and tear on the rubber; if the rubber is broken, split, or does seem to have degraded in quality, they should be replaced. Besides, use the floor jack and lift up the spring link with the car in normal ride height so as to tighten the toe link mounting fasteners using the wood block and a floor jack or lift.
