    What is the location of the Back Up Light Switch and how can it be replaced on Jeep Compass? Posted by Customer

    The back-up light switch is observed on the lower part of the front side of the transaxle. First of all, you should lift the car and afterward support it using jackstands. Subsequently, remove the electrical connector from back-up light switch and then unscrew the switch from the case. Coat the threads of the new switch with Teflon or a like substance and then screw the new switch into the panel and tighten it down. After that reconnect the electrical connector and make sure that the back-up lights function.
