Install the camshaft bolt and tighten it. Verify correct chain installation by counting chain pins between sprocket marks. Release tensioner. Reinstall the oil slinger and the remaining parts.

To remove, align sprocket timing marks and remove the camshaft thrust pin, sprocket retaining bolt, and washer. Remove the crankshaft sprocket, camshaft sprocket, and timing chain. For installation, align the crankshaft key and camshaft dowel with the cam sprocket. Pre-assemble the timing chain and sprockets with timing marks facing out. Install the assembly, ensuring timing marks align. Also, reinstall the thrust pin, spring, oil slinger, timing chain cover, and vibration damper.
