    How do you remove the Brake Master Cylinder for the 2008 Dodge Nitro? Posted by Customer
    A:
    Start by removing as much fluid as possible from the reservoir using a suction gun, syringe, or baster. Place rags under the brake line fittings and prepare caps or plastic bags to cover the ends of the lines. Loosen the tube nuts at the ends of the brake lines and disconnect the electrical connector for the fluid level switch. Remove the two mounting nuts and carefully remove the master cylinder from the booster. Remove any remaining fluid from the reservoir.

    If the reservoir or grommets need to be replaced, remove the fluid, disconnect the electrical wiring, remove the mounting bolt, and pull out the reservoir. Replace the grommets if necessary and lubricate the reservoir O-rings before inserting it back into the master cylinder. Install the mounting bolt, connect the wiring, refill the reservoir, and check for leaks. Bleed the master cylinder if air has entered the system.
