Jeep 68262001AA Front Lower Bumper Cover

Lower front bumpers, across the range, incorporate a molded plastic fascia, the plastic bumper cover, the fascias support and the structural beam. To remove the front bumper cover, there is a necessity to remove the radiator grille first and then to unlock all the-tabs of the fasteners seated along the upper part of the cover. There are nuts and bolts with the inner part of the front fenderwell liner that is bonded to the bumper cover so pull back the liner to reveal more nuts on the front part of the wheel well. If you have fender flares, then undo the plastic rivets and clips all the way along the edge and then you take off the flares from both fenders. For later models, turn the lock fasteners in the two inner fender wells a quarter/bend H to detach the lower inner fenderwell from the bumper cover. After that, detach the bolts that hold the bumper cover to the fender, and those that are at the back of it. If fog lamps are provisioned, remove connectors for their electric circuits. Installation on the other hand is done in a sequence that is the exact opposite to that used for removal. With regard to the rear bumper cover, lift the lift gate and then the top and bottom attachments must be removed. At the rear wheel wells, it is necessary to remove the fasteners and the splash shields and, if there are fender flares attached, to remove the rivets and the clips and then to disconnect the flares. Last but not the least, unbolt the fasteners that anchor the bumper cover to the quarter panels, have the rear bumper cover detached and all the electrical connections disconnected with regards to the respective bumper cover. Once more, installation is the reverse of removal.
