With the engine running or cranking, listen to the sound from each injector with an automotive stethoscope and verify the injectors are all clicking the same. If you don't have a stethoscope, place the tip of as crew driver against the injectors and press your ear against the handle of the screwdriver. Also feel the operation of each injector with your finger. It should sound/feel smooth and uniform and its sound/feel should rise and fall with engine RPM. If an injector isn't operating, or sounds/feels erratic check the injector connector and the wire electrical connector. If the connectors are snug, check for voltage to the injector, using a special injector harness test light (available at our website).

Complete the installation process in reverse. After installation, turn the ignition switch to On a few times without starting the engine to build up fuel pressure and check for fuel leaks in the lines, fuel rail, and injectors.

On V6 models, do not separate the left and right fuel rails, as both sides are serviced together. Remove the injectors from the fuel rail, discard the O-rings, and replace them with new ones coated in clean engine oil. Clean the injector bores on the intake manifold and insert the injectors into their corresponding bores in the fuel rail. Securely tighten the fuel rail mounting nuts/bolts, connect the fuel line(s), and ensure they are properly seated. Connect the electrical connectors to each injector, following numbered tags if present.

Disconnect the ISA motor harness connector and detach the throttle return spring. Remove the mounting nuts and the ISA motor from the bracket. Reinstall the motor and have it adjusted by a qualified repair facility.
