    Q:
How to replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor and securing it in the fresh air inlet duct on Dodge Neon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Disconnect the negative battery cable and the electrical connector from the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor. Remove the air filter housing cover and the fresh air inlet duct. Using diagonal cutters, cut off the small steel band securing the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor to the fresh air inlet duct, then pull the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor straight out of its mounting pipe. Install a new steel band on the pipe for the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor, place the new Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor in the fresh air inlet duct, and crimp the band with CV joint band crimping pliers or use a conventional hose clamp if those are unavailable, ensuring it is tightened securely. The installation process follows the reverse order of removal.

    Q:
How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on Dodge Nitro? Posted by Customer
    A:
A thermistor component known as the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor generates a voltage signal for the PCM through resistance variation depending on temperature changes. The sensor resistance decreases with increased temperature but increases with decreasing temperature. A four-cylinder engine operating on 2.4L does house the temperature sensor at the rear of the intake manifold base. The Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor in all Nitro and 2008 model-year Liberty vehicles resides in the rubber air intake tube adjacent to the throttle body as well as at the start of the air filter housing. The procedure to remove the sensor involves disconnecting its electrical connector before turning it counter-clockwise one-quarter rotation and pulling it free. If possible examine the sensor O-ring while checking its condition then replace it before reinstalling the sensor in the reverse order of removal.

    Q:
What is the Location of the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on Dodge Magnum? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Intake Manifold Temperature sensor is on the air intake duct of all engines. The exact location may vary depending on the engine, but the same sensor is used for all engines. To remove the sensor, unlock and disconnect the electrical connector by pushing the lock towards the harness and depressing the release tab. Note the orientation of the sensor before removing it. To install a new or old sensor, it must be correctly oriented. Grasp the sensor firmly and pull it straight out of the air intake duct. Installation is the reverse of removal.
