- A:To replace the switch, start by disconnecting the cable(s) from the negative battery terminal(s). Then, unplug the electrical connector from the pressure switch and unscrew the old switch. Before installing the new switch, lubricate the 0-ring with clean refrigerant oil. Screw the new switch onto the refrigerant line until hand tight, then tighten it securely.
