    Installation and Repair Tips
    Q:
Where is the EVAP canister and Canister Purge Valve located for the 2015 Chrysler 200? Posted by Customer
    A:
The EVAP canister is located behind the left rear wheel opening.

    Q:
What is the function of the Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD) assembly and the Canister Purge Valve for the 2016 Dodge Challenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
The NVLD assembly monitors the temperature of unburned hydrocarbon vapors; any divergence from expected pressure-temperature relationships indicates a leak, prompting the PCM to set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).

    Q:
Where are the EVAP components, including the Canister Purge Valve, located for the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Posted by Customer
    A:
The EVAP canister purge solenoid is located in the engine compartment, while the NVLD filter, EVAP canister, and NVLD pump assembly are located in front of the fuel tank. The NVLD filter can be removed without removing the canister, but the canister must be removed to access the NVLD pump. To remove the NVLD pump, squeeze the locking tab and rotate it counterclockwise.

    Q:
What is involved in component replacement for the 2016 Ram 3500, specifically the Canister Purge Valve? Posted by Customer
    A:
Component replacement involves disengaging the EVAP canister purge solenoid from its mounting bracket, disconnecting the electrical connector and vacuum hoses, and removing the vapor hoses. For EVAP canisters, the vehicle needs to be raised and securely placed on jackstands, then the vapor hoses and wiring are disconnected, the lower support bracket is removed, and the EVAP canisters are taken out.
