PT# 82213980 is just the "prep kit" for installing a 5'th wheel hitch. It has no capacity rating. It is supposed to work with the MOPAR Gooseneck offerings Fifth Wheel Prep Kit for the Ram 2500 (Production under-bed hardware). Includes Rear Stanchions, Gooseneck Ball Cartridge and above bed trim rings and an I-Sheet Note* This is For Trucks Without Production 5th Wheel/ Goose Neck Package Sales Code (AHU). Mopar Gooseneck Trailer Hitches can be installed on trucks equipped with the factory, or dealer-installed Gooseneck/Fifth-Wheel Prep Package. Gooseneck Trailer Hitches include a Gooseneck Ball Kit with a locking ball-bearing mechanism in the base of the ball, and two Safety Chain Tie-Downs that install into the rear outer holes of the bed. Gooseneck Ball and Safety Chain Tie-Downs are packaged in a canvas bag with Ram brand logo. Check the vehicle User Guide for hitch type, load capacity and heavy-duty equipment required. Do not exceed rated tow capacity of the vehicle as equipped. Trailer may require items not supplied by Mopar.
