    Remove the rocker arm cover and stud nuts from the cylinder head. Store them separately. If only removing pushrods, loosen nuts to rotate rocker arms aside. Remove and store rocker arms, pivot balls, and pushrods separately. Check for wear or damage on rocker arms and pushrods. Replace if necessary. Lubricate pushrods with clean oil or moly-base grease and reinstall. Apply moly-base grease to valve stems and pushrod ends before positioning rocker arms. Install pivot balls and nuts, apply moly-base grease to pivot balls. Adjust valve lash and reinstall rocker arm covers.

Make sure the oil hole in each rocker arm is open. Check pushrods for bends. Lubricate and reinstall each pushrod, and bring the number one piston to the top dead center on the compression stroke. Grease the valve stems, pushrod ends, and fulcrums. Reinstall the arms, fulcrums, bridges, and bolts. Tighten bolts to the specified torque.
