- A:To raise the front of the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands. Then, remove the cotter pin and retaining nut from the ballstud at the frame rail bracket, discarding the cotter pin. Next, remove the bolt and nut from the axle bracket end of the bar and take out the bar from the vehicle.
