The front bumper is made up of three main parts on all models - plastic fascia, support piece, and linking beam. When it comes to the rear bumper, only the three Durango versions have a plastic face. Begin by removing the radiator grille first, and after that take away the headlight housing. Unscrew the fasteners holding the ends of the bumper in the wheelwell of the front side of the car. In Dakota models, pull out the upper mounting bolts and remove the bumper cover. Taking the bumper apart is the same as putting it back together. To access the bumper support, oust the bumper cover initially and disconnect any fog lights if you own them. On Dakotas, unfasten three screws at the top and six along the front of the support before you lift it out. The installation follows the reverse order. First, pull out any electrical cords blocking the rear bumper's simple uninstallation on Dakotas. After that, remove the bolts attaching the center of the bumper to the trailer hitch or crossmember. Stand next to a helper and remove all nuts or bolts with their help that connect the bumper to either trailer hitch or frame rails. The installation is again the reverse of removal.
