- A:Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Disconnect the blower motor wires and remove the three blower motor mounting screws. Lift the blower motor from the vehicle. If not replacing the motor, disregard the next steps. Detach the fan retainer clip from the fan hub and remove the motor from the cover. Mount the new motor on the cover and install the retainer clip. Place the blower motor in position and install the mounting screws. Reconnect the wires and battery cable. Test the motor in operation. If the vehicle has air conditioning, have the system discharged. Disconnect the cable from the battery negative terminal. If equipped with air conditioning, loosen the accumulator retaining band screw and move the accumulator out of the way. Unplug the electrical connector from the blower motor. Remove the three blower motor assembly retaining screws. Remove the blower motor. Installation is the reverse of removal. Take the vehicle back to the shop that discharged the air conditioning and have the system evacuated, charged, and leak tested.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
