    To remove 4WD models' front axle hub and bearing assembly, follow the provided instructions. Remove the disc brake splash shield, right-side outer axle, differential cover, and intermediate shaft retaining clip. Slide out the intermediate shaft. For a U-joint overhaul, remove snap-rings with a screwdriver. The constant velocity outer front axle joint isn't repairable and should be replaced if faulty. However, it can be disassembled, cleaned, and repacked with grease if the boot fails. Reverse the process for installation, using a new gasket on the differential cover and filling the housing with gear lubricant.
