- Q:How do you remove the Coil Springs? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the front wheel, loosen the lug nuts and raise the vehicle with jackstands. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the front differential pinion shaft yoke and hang it out of the way. Support the axle assembly with a floor jack and unbolt the lower suspension arms, stabilizer bar links, and shock absorbers. Disconnect the track bar and separate the steering center link from the Pitman arm. Lower the axle assembly until the coil springs are fully extended, remove the spring retainer, and take out the spring. Check the spring for damage and replace if necessary. To install, position the coil spring on the axle housing, secure it with the spring retainer, and raise the axle into position. Connect the lower suspension arms, center link, track bar, stabilizer bar links, shock absorbers, and front driveshaft. Install the wheels and lower the vehicle, tightening the lug nuts.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
