    How to Remove a Fuel Tank from a Dodge Nitro? Posted by Customer
    A:
    Relieve fuel system pressure and remove battery cable. Disconnect upper fuel pump module and siphon fuel into approved container. On 2008+ models, remove rear driveshaft, tow hooks, trailer hitch, and fuel tank skidplate. Label and disconnect fuel system lines and ground-strap. Remove fuel filler hose and support tank with floor jack. Remove tank retaining bolts and carefully lower tank. Installation is reverse of removal.

    Label and disconnect the fuel system lines attached to the fuel tank, and remove any retainers securing them to the chassis. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical ground-strap.
