If removing the clockspring, follow these steps, Remove the steering column covers. Unplug the electrical connectors for the clockspring. Remove the mounting screws. Lift the clockspring from the steering column.When installing the clockspring, ensure it is centered with the arrows on the clockspring rotor and case lined up. For Durango models, align the alignment dowel down and the pigtail wire at the top. If the shaft was turned while the wheel was removed, center the clockspring as follows, rotate the clockspring clockwise until it stops. Rotate the clockspring counterclockwise about 2-1/2 turns until the arrows on the clockspring rotor and case line up.
