If your car has an electric parking brake actuator from 2014 and earlier, first release the brake and disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal. Before lifting up the back of the car, loosen each rear wheel's nuts, place jackstands under it, lift it carefully, and take off all wheels. When applicable, detach the electric parking brake actuator electrical connector first. Remove the actuator from the rear brake assembly and carefully take apart the wiring harness from any holding tabs on the knuckle. Unplug the ABS wheel sensor wiring hose from the suspension knuckle, and loosen any clips holding it in place. To work on AWD drives, loosen the hub nut and move the driveaxle outer joint off its placement in the hub. Support the caliper with wire when you take it off, along with the mounting bracket. After that, free the brake disc and backing plate. Unhook the stabilizer bar link from the
Control Arm that sits lower down. Remove the knuckle-to-trailing link bolts. Unscrew the nuts that keep the lower control arm, toe link, and upper control arm connected to the knuckle. Finally, remove the knuckle. Turning your vehicle around, tighten all fasteners on the suspension, and bolt down the caliper bracket, hub nut on AWD models, and wheel nuts according to standard procedure.
