- Q: How Do You Disconnect the Accelerator Cable on Chrysler Town & Country?A:Rotate the throttle linkage cam to a wide-open position and disengage the accelerator cable from the slot. Squeeze the retaining ears and disengage from the cable bracket and reach up behind the accelerator pedal and disengage the retainer. Remove the horseshoe-shaped retainer clip and work the cable grommet out of the hole. Pull out the cable from the engine compartment side of the firewall. Installation is the reverse of removal steps.
