The visible part of the switch is just the knob, with the actual switch inside the steering column. The multi-function switch controls systems like
Headlights, fog lights, turn signals, and interior lights. Special tools are needed for diagnosis, so consult a dealership or repair shop. Don't try to bypass the switch with a jumper wire. To remove, disconnect the battery cable, remove the steering column covers and knee bolster, and unscrew the multi-function switch. Pull the switch out and disconnect the connector. Installation is the reverse of removal.
