On manual transmission models, discard and replace the flywheel bolts with new ones. Pull straight back on the driveplate/flywheel to detach it from the crankshaft. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to align the matching paint marks. Use thread locking compound on the bolt threads and tighten them to the specified torque in a criss-cross pattern.
