- Q: How do you disconnect and remove the headlight switch and clock from the instrument panel on Dodge Challenger?A:Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For 2005 through 2010 300, Charger, and Magnum models, as well as 2008 through 2014 Challenger models, remove the steering column opening cover, reach behind the instrument panel, push the retaining tab on the bottom of the headlight switch up, and push the switch out from behind. Disconnect the electrical connector by sliding the red lock toward the wiring harness until it snaps out, then depress the red lock and release tab to pull off the connector. Installation is the reverse of removal. For 2011 and later 300 and Charger models, as well as 2015 and later Challenger models, turn the headlight switch to the Off position, push the switch knob inward, rotate it clockwise to the Park Lamps On position, pull the switch out, and disconnect the electrical connector. Installation is the reverse of removal. To remove the instrument panel switch pod, first remove the instrument panel center bezel, disconnect the electrical connector by depressing the release tab, remove the two switch pod mounting screws, and then take the pod out from the center bezel. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the clock, remove the instrument panel center bezel, disconnect the electrical connector by depressing the release tab, remove the clock mounting screws, and take the clock out from the center bezel. Installation is the reverse of removal.
