The hub and bearing assembly is sealed-for-life, and if any part is worn or damaged, it must be replaced as a unit. For 2014 and earlier 300 and Charger/2013 and earlier Challenger models, begin by loosening the wheel lug nuts, raising the front of the vehicle, and securely supporting it on jackstands under the frame rails before removing the wheel. Next, remove the brake disc, then carefully take off the dust cap using a sharp chisel or suitable tool. Remove the hub nut and slide the hub off the steering knuckle spindle, followed by removing the hub from the spindle. For installation, reverse the removal steps, ensuring to tighten the new hub nut and the brake caliper mounting bracket and bolts to the specified torque, then install the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the correct torque. For 2015 and later 300 and Charger/2014 and later Challenger models, start similarly by loosening the wheel lug nuts, raising the vehicle, and removing the wheel. After removing the brake disc, take out the brake hose bracket bolt from the steering knuckle to access the hub assembly bolts, then remove the three bolts securing the hub assembly to the steering knuckle and slide the hub assembly off. If the hub assembly is stubborn, spray water onto the mounting area and bolt holes, wait a few minutes, and lightly tap the edge of the mounting surface if necessary. For installation, reverse the removal steps and ensure the hub and bearing bolts are tightened to the specified torque.
