After that, remove the A/C accumulator mounting fastener. Pull the A/C accumulator directly up and out of the fitting for the condenser, and remove the O-ring seals. Make sure to discard them. Plug all open fittings to prevent dirt and moisture from entering. Install the A/C accumulator into the fitting at the condenser using new O-ring seals. If you are installing a new A/C accumulator, add 1 oz (30 ml) of new refrigerant oil compatible with R-134a refrigerant to the new unit.
