Remove the door glass and regulator, then detach the interior remote control handle along with the two control rods from the handle. Disconnect the short link rod, pull out the securing clip, and remove the lock cylinder. Next, disconnect the longer link rod, unscrew the two securing nuts, and remove the door exterior handle. Unscrew and remove the four screws from the latch and withdraw the latch with the two control rods. For refitting, apply grease to all friction surfaces and fit the lock cylinder so that its drain hole faces down. Once fitted, adjust the play of the lock interior handle to between 0.16 and 0.40 in (4.0 and 10.0 mm) by sliding the handle mounting plate within the limits of its elongated mounting plate. The length of travel of the lock button can be adjusted by releasing the screw, and the plug in the exterior handle is adjustable by means of the trunnion on the threaded rod, which should be between 0.12 and 0.24 in (3.0 to 6.0 mm).
