Remove the negative cable from the battery and set it aside and such a way that does not make contact with the negative terminal thus causing power to flow into the car's circuit. Take out the radio and with the aid of the wrench you can undo the knob which holds the top end of the antenna mast. The antenna lead and body are at the interior side of the fender, therefore, use needle nose pliers to unscrew and remove the cap nut and adapter, as the gasket remains firmly attached to it. There are three inner fender shield-to-fender screws which are accessed from beneath the fender; the shield is pulled back to gain access to the antenna body and lead assembly. The new antenna can be fitted by inserting the body and lead assembly into the fender and then fitting of adapter and gasket, a cap nut and the antenna mast. Last of all, replace the fender shield screws and set the radio in proper position and fix the negative terminal of battery, check the antenna lead should be connected to the radio.
