Before the process of the removal of the wiper motor assembly, the next step begins with a click on the negative terminal of the battery and the position of the connecting cable is pulled aside avoiding contact with the terminal. Third, the wiper blades' metal hook can have the washer hoses pulled off of it with a small screwdriver. Twist out the clips to remove the cowl plenum water deflector assembly and a forked tool can be used. Then, take off the cover of the wiper motor by pulling it and by taking the screws out of two bolts and disconnecting the electrical connections. Disconnect the illuminator by pulling the perforated grill out of the access hole, next, the bolts of the wiper pivot, and the nuts of the motor. Disconnect the motor and relay electrical plugs, and fold the wiper arms and lift the motor, wiper arms and pivot assembly through the opening. To remove wiper arm from the motor, they must be aligned by marking their positions, the wiper arm have to be clamped on a vise, arm retainer have to be unscrewed and arm have to be taken off. For assembly, slide back the arm to the motor then covers the nut tightly by hand. Slide the wiper assembly in as far as it can go, push the 'arms' to mesh with the pivots and fit bolts. Replace the motor and relay and tighten the nuts, reconnect the connectors and fit back the grille and the water deflector. Last but not least, secure the wiper arms as well as the washer hoses after which join the battery again.
