- Q: How do you disconnect and remove the antenna assembly on Dodge Neon?A:Disconnect and isolate the negative cables to prevent accidental contact with the battery negative terminal. Use a small open-end wrench to unscrew the antenna mast. In the right side interior kick panel area under the instrument panel, disconnect the antenna cable from the cable lead. Raise the vehicle and securely place it on jack stands, then remove the front right wheel. Remove the right fenderwell inner panels to access the antenna base by prying out the plastic retaining clips and removing the screws that hold the lower end of the fender panel, then take the panel out. In the right fenderwell, detach the grommet and carefully pull the antenna lead and grommet from the fender panel access hole, then remove the antenna retaining nut and the antenna assembly from the fender, ensuring not to lose the antenna adapter in the top of the fender opening. For installation, reverse the removal steps, aligning the antenna adapter tongue with the fender hole and pushing it into place.
