To replace exterior lights, first disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For front park/turn signal/sidemarker light bulbs, if equipped, remove the front lamp unit top cover and, if necessary, the
Headlight housing to access the connectors. Disconnect the electrical connector from the socket, remove the bulb socket by rotating it counterclockwise, and pull the bulb straight out. To install a new bulb, push it straight into the socket until it seats fully. For fog light bulbs, disconnect the electrical connector by prying the locking tabs, remove the socket by rotating it counterclockwise, and pull the bulb straight out. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the center high-mounted brake light bulb in 2010 and earlier models, remove the housing mounting fasteners, disconnect the electrical connector and wiper fluid hose, and replace the assembly if defective. In 2011 and later models, open the liftgate, remove the trim panel, disconnect the window washer hose, and lift the spoiler to access the electrical connector and mounting fasteners. For taillight bulbs, open the liftgate, remove the push-pin fasteners, disconnect the electrical connectors, rotate the socket to remove it, and pull the bulb straight out. For the license plate light bulb, reach under the liftgate handle to access the latch tab, pull the lens down, and remove the bulb. For interior lights, carefully pry the reading light lens away from the console, remove the reflector shield, and pull the bulb straight down to replace it. For vanity light bulbs, pry the lens from the visor, unsnap the bulb from the holders, and press a new bulb into place. For the instrument panel courtesy light, unsnap the lens, pull the bulb base straight out, and insert a new bulb until fully seated. Installation for all components is generally the reverse of removal.
