How to replace the Fog Light Bulb and Instrument Panel Light Bulb on Chrysler 200? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change exterior bulbs, rotate the bulb holder counterclockwise and replace the bulb. For fog lights, disconnect the battery, raise the vehicle, remove the filler panel, disconnect the connector, and replace the bulb and socket. To change the center brake light, remove the trunk lid panel, disconnect the connector, remove the fasteners and light. For taillights, open the trunk, unscrew the fasteners, disconnect the connectors, and replace the bulb. For license plate lights, remove the screws, and replace the bulb. Interior lights aren't separately serviceable. For reading and dome lights, pry off the cover and replace the bulb.

    Q:
How are headlight bulb replaced on Chrysler Sebring? Posted by Customer
    A:
Halogen headlights in Dodge and Chrysler models require different replacement methods. For Dodge, a dual headlamp bulb is used, while Chrysler uses a quad system. To replace, disconnect the negative battery cable, open the hood, and disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the housing. Rotate the bulb counterclockwise and remove it. Install the new bulb by aligning the slots on the bulb socket with the bosses on the mounting hole. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    Q:
How to replace the Fog Light Bulb and Instrument Panel Light Bulb on Dodge Avenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
2014 and older models require you to reach behind the headlight housing, turn the bulb holder counterclockwise, pull it out, and remove the broken bulb. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise to detach it, then install the bulb into the hole and return the holder back in place. To replace your fog light bulbs, start by disconnecting the car's negative battery terminal, put a jackstand under the front of the car, remove the bumper cover's filler panel, unplugged the bulb socket's electric wires, turned the socket counter-clockwise, and pulled it out. Take out the whole bulb and socket setup together. Put them back into the vehicle in the opposite way you took them out. Before installing the brake light at the rear center of the car, disengage the push pin from the trunk trim panel, release the electrical connector, disconnect the attaching screws, and pull out the light following these steps in reverse to secure it. To fix a taillight bulb, start by opening the trunk, moving aside the inner liner, unscrewing plastic fasteners, pulling the taillight toward the rear, unplugging electrical wires, turning the bulb socket counterclockwise, and pulling out the bulb, doing the reverse steps to install it. To change license plate light bulbs, remove the two package screws that hold the lens to the bumper cover, take out the bulb from its socket, and undo steps in opposite order to install it. Because instrument cluster LEDs are built into the cluster, you must replace the whole thing if they stop working. To replace any reading light bulb, first open the lens cover by prying it off the fixture, remove the old bulb, and then do the opposite for installing the new bulb. To fix the dome light, take off the lens cover with a smallopening tool. Then pull out the light bulb and do the oppositewhen installing.

    Q:
How to replace Fog Light Bulb on Dodge Challenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
If one is replacing front park/turn signal light bulbs on models with HID headlights, it must be so with the headlight housing removed due to risks of electrocution and this is for 2014 and earlier models since 2015 and later ones uses LED bulbs that come preassembled and is replaced as a whole. For bulb replacement if space is limited, removal of the headlight may be necessary. To replace the left front park/turn signal bulb first you will have to remove the air filter housing then to disconnect the electrical connector you will have to slide the red lock and pull of the connector. Third, unscrew the bulb holder anti-clockwise and then expel the bulb linearly before inserting a new one in place till it clicks into position. As for the inner and outer front parking light bulbs, similar procedure is used, with similar steps to get to the bulb holder. As with the rear sidemarker lights, front sidemarker lights of 2010 and earlier models can be accessed with the bulb from underneath the car, or the headlight housing can be remove to give access to the electrical connector and holder. To change fog light bulb one has to lift the car, and then the front engine splash, then the electrical connector and finally the bulb holder has to be unscrewed anti-clockwise. The center high-mounted stop light assembly is an LED type and it cannot have individual bulbs replaced; the whole assembly requires the electrical connector to be disconnected coupling with the unscrewing of the mounting screws. Opening of taillight bulbs involves getting at the trunk, unscrewing the fastener which is over the carpeting, disconnecting the electrical connector and finally withdrawing the retainers of the taillight assembly to pull out the housing. In licensing plate light bulb replacement some of the procedures that are followed includes removing the revealing screws of the bulb, detaching the bulb and fixing a new one. This may involve prying of the lens of a trunk interior light or reading light to get an access to electrical connectors to remove them from the bulbs or even to push in new bulbs by pulling them straight out. To replace the vanity light bulbs, one has to take off the lens and unscrew the bulb from the contacts, the same procedure applies to the light bulbs of the door courtesy and the rear reading lights.

    Q:
How can headlight bulbs be replaced on Dodge Challenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
All headlight bulbs except HID low-beam bulb models can be replaced without removing the headlight housing, although if space is limited or hands are too large, the housing should be removed first. For left headlight bulb replacement, the air filter housing must be removed. On 2011 and later models, the dust cap should be turned counterclockwise to remove it. The electrical connector from the headlight bulb must be disconnected by grasping it firmly and pulling it out of the bulb socket terminal, ensuring enough force is applied to release the locking tab. To remove the headlight bulb, it should be turned counterclockwise about 30 degrees, as the bulb and socket are a single assembly with no further disassembly possible; the new bulb will come with its own socket. Installation follows the reverse order of removal. High Intensity Discharge (HID) low-beam bulb models produce three times the light of standard halogen bulbs, consume less energy, and have a lifespan ten times longer. These bulbs operate using an alternating current to ignite xenon gas within a sealed bulb, functioning similarly to vapor-filled streetlights. Instead of a filament, an arc is created between two electrodes to ignite the gas. A ballast module converts battery voltage from 12 volts DC to 800 volts AC, and the HID bulb requires about 10-15 seconds to warm up for normal operation. The igniter, part of the HID bulb, controls the voltage to the electrodes, stepping up the 800 volts AC input to approximately 25,000 volts for ignition and then reducing it to about 85 volts for continued operation.

    Q:
How are headlight bulb replaced on Dodge Avenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before you can put in new halogen headlights on your Dodge Avenger, take off the negative battery cable from the remote ground terminal or battery pack. Unscrew the hood, then from inside the engine bay disconnect electrical connections on the housing's backside. Twist the headlight bulb to the left and lift it out of the housing. To put the new bulb in, place the three mounting slots on the bulb bulb socket's head into the three matching bosses on the inside of the mounting hole in the headlight housing. Then push the bulb into the headlight, turn it clockwise to lock the socket. Keep your hands off the bulb's surface to prevent oil from your skin making it burn out sooner. If your skin touches it, use rubbing alcohol to clean off any residue. Finally, installation is the reverse of removal.

How to replace Fog Light Bulb and other bulbs on Dodge Ram 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
For replacing the front turn signal/parking light/side marker light bulbs, remove the headlight housing as well as the bulb holder. After that, take out the old bulb and put in a new one. For the high-mounted brake light and cargo light bulbs, detach the housing while disconnecting its electrical connectors. Then you should twist and remove it from the bulb holder so that you can be able to pull out its old bulb and insert a new one. To replace fog lamp bulbs, unplug wiring from it turning counterclockwise to remove it from a hole in which it was placed. For license plate light bulbs, untwist and remove it off from its holder after that you can be able to pull out an old bulb and insert a new one for replacement purposes. Mirror mounted lights are LED lights; therefore replacing them involves fitting a new LED assembly if they become faulty. The rear fender lights need to be gently pushed or pulled out of their lens before being twisted off from their bulb holders allowing pulling out of an old bulb and inserting a new one instead. To change tailgate lights unscrew screws on this side of light lens so that you get chance of removing it from there with ease. This is how you take off an old bulb by twisting down its holder while installing another one in its place so far as your vehicle's taillight assembly is concerned. Bed storage bin Lightbulbs have their lens removed by taking such lens off by twisting around at its holder level;thereafter, you will be able to pull out an old bulb before fixing anewone in position. The dome light will require you push down the sides of this cover then detach all parts including these bulbs themselves using hands carefully.Insert anewbulb of suitable size properly back into place. To replace glove box lighting facility,it should simply be slid straight direction for removal then another piece inserted into opposite groove whereit cameoff. These reading lamps need to have the sides pried open and then slide it forward until you can be able to remove one end from them.Put in a LED bulb of same size or wattage as that which is being replaced. As forthese vanity light bulbs, the lens has to be pried off from the top part of light assembly so that afterthat you can pull out its old bulb gently and replace it with anewone.Such light fixtures are devised in such a way that their covers are pushed down thereby enabling users to withdraw all lamps for replacement. There is an existing tab on the console storage bin light bulb lens that should be pressed downwards before taking entire lamp out.Disconnect all wires, slide cover sideways revealing one small globe. Pull out old one and insert another new bulb in its place.

How to replace exterior light bulbs and Fog Light Bulb on Jeep Compass? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace exterior light bulbs, turn off the engine and pull the emergency brake, then unplug the battery's negative terminal. For front park and turn signal bulbs, turn the steering wheel, remove the fasteners of fenderwell splash shield, snap off the electrical connector, turn the bulb holder anti-clockwise and slide out. New bulb should then be installed in its holder. For fog light bulbs, undo the wheel lug nuts, lift the vehicle and remove the wheel. Once more, together with the fenderwell splash shield of the vehicle, the fasteners should be removed, and the electrical connector detached, and possibly, at the same time as the connector, the retaining screws. By unscrewing the latches, both on each side of the bracket, the bulb can be pulled out easily. The center high mounted brake light likewise involves the removal of the screws, pulling out of the electrical connection and washer hose and total removal of the light. For taillight bulbs, follow the instructions given below for replacement: For license plate light bulbs, remove lens cover, extract the bulb and replace it in the reverse method. Interior lights: For the instrument cluster LEDs it is not possible to replace individual LEDs, and for the dome/reading lights , first thing that needs to be done is to remove the lens cap gently which has to be then put back in the reverse manner.

How to replace exterior lights and Fog Light Bulb on Jeep Grand Cherokee? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace exterior lights, first disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For front park/turn signal/sidemarker light bulbs, if equipped, remove the front lamp unit top cover and, if necessary, the headlight housing to access the connectors. Disconnect the electrical connector from the socket, remove the bulb socket by rotating it counterclockwise, and pull the bulb straight out. To install a new bulb, push it straight into the socket until it seats fully. For fog light bulbs, disconnect the electrical connector by prying the locking tabs, remove the socket by rotating it counterclockwise, and pull the bulb straight out. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the center high-mounted brake light bulb in 2010 and earlier models, remove the housing mounting fasteners, disconnect the electrical connector and wiper fluid hose, and replace the assembly if defective. In 2011 and later models, open the liftgate, remove the trim panel, disconnect the window washer hose, and lift the spoiler to access the electrical connector and mounting fasteners. For taillight bulbs, open the liftgate, remove the push-pin fasteners, disconnect the electrical connectors, rotate the socket to remove it, and pull the bulb straight out. For the license plate light bulb, reach under the liftgate handle to access the latch tab, pull the lens down, and remove the bulb. For interior lights, carefully pry the reading light lens away from the console, remove the reflector shield, and pull the bulb straight down to replace it. For vanity light bulbs, pry the lens from the visor, unsnap the bulb from the holders, and press a new bulb into place. For the instrument panel courtesy light, unsnap the lens, pull the bulb base straight out, and insert a new bulb until fully seated. Installation for all components is generally the reverse of removal.
